Every misting fan does the same job — atomize water and push it across people — but how it mounts changes what it costs and how permanent it is. Here are the four setups we quote most often in San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels and Seguin.

• Oscillating pedestal fan — portable, rolls where you need it, runs off a hose and a plug
• Wall-mounted oscillating fan — out of the walkway, aimed at seating or a bar
• Post- or beam-mounted fan — built into a pergola, patio cover or awning frame
• Multi-fan pump system — 2 to 8 fans on one high-pressure pump for restaurant decks, barns and shops
• Complete fan kits include the pump, stainless nozzles, high-pressure line and push-lock fittings

A misting system feels premium or cheap based almost entirely on the install. Because we fabricate the awnings, pergola covers and screens ourselves, the water and power get planned with the structure: tubing inside the beams, the pump tucked out of sight with service access, controls where you actually stand.

Evaporative cooling only works when the surrounding air can still absorb water. Dry desert air can, so a plain misting line in Phoenix works fine. Central and South Texas air is already carrying moisture, so the same fog just hangs there and the patio feels damp instead of cool. A fan fixes it by pushing that fog through a much larger volume of air and across your skin, which is where the cooling sensation actually happens.

We install infrared patio heaters mounted to the same beams, posts and frames that carry our misting fans — wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, post-mounted or portable — wired to switches or smart controls so the space is usable from football season through the holidays.
