Eolis® Auto-Retract — Protect the Awning From Texas Gusts
A retractable awning's #1 enemy is unattended wind. Our standard recommendation on every motorized Solair® install is a Somfy® Eolis® wind sensor — it watches the awning, not the weather report, and pulls it in automatically when gusts exceed your set threshold.
How It Works
- Wireless sensor mounts on the front bar of the awning
- Measures real movement at the awning — not generic wind speed
- Triggers Somfy® motor to fully retract above threshold
- Locks out re-extend until conditions calm
- Battery-powered, no wiring required
